When it came to a ceremony, Taylor and Dan wanted something intimate and private for their emotional Black Balsam Knob Elopement. They envisioned a day that revolved around their love and sweet time together. So when they got to planning their day, they knew a private vow exchange at Graveyard Fields was the way to go.
Before officially becoming husband and wife, Taylor and Dan wanted to spend some time with each other truly taking in the beautiful surroundings. Before their ceremony started, we met up at a stunning waterfall for some stellar portraits and alone time for the two of them.
When our couples come to us with their elopement ideas, we always strive to make it the most memorable day of their lives. From secret waterfall excursions to hikes up the Blue Ridge Mountains, we do the extraordinary with our couples to give them the most meaningful elopement they could imagine.
Just before they exchanged their vows, Dan and Taylor had a sweet moment where he helped put her heels on – Cinderella style! They looked so dapper! Taylor wore a floral printed dress from Lulus that complimented Dan’s suit perfectly! Because the ceremony was remarkably intimate, Taylor and Dan exchanged vows with just a few family members present. Before the ceremony, their family surprised them with a recording from some close friends of toasts, blessings, and well-wishes. It was such a tender moment and set the emotional tone for their tear-filled vows.
After the ceremony, they popped champagne and celebrated by hiking to the top of the ridge for an awesome adventure. The day was windy and a little cold, but it made for spectacular pictures! Taylor + Dan couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Emotional Black Balsam Knob Elopement.
