Y’all, I dont even know where to start with Ingrid and John’s Rosewood Bermuda wedding. First off, I just want to say that being a destination wedding photographer is everything I ever wanted out of a career and I still pinch myself every day that I get to do this for a living. Photographing a wedding at Rosewood Tucker’s Point was simply a dream come true! Bermuda wedding photographer
Every now and then a wedding comes along that makes you re-think all your own wedding decisions and this one was one of those. When Ingrid and John decided to get married in Bermuda they weren’t sure how many of their friends would tag along for the party, but it turns out all of their friends wanted to celebrate them (and a vacation to boot!) so they ended up with nearly 100 guests and a wedding weekend of epic proportions. The party was non-stop, from their welcome dinner on the beach the night before, to Aperol Spritz abounding during wedding party photos, to their epic ceremony exit to the actual reception party itself, which ended at 3am with everyone (including the bride) in the pool. I took so many photos I’m having to split this post into two different ones, just to included all of the amazingness!
My favorite part of the day by far was Ingrid and John’s first look. When I orchestrate first looks, I block off a solid hour at least in the wedding day schedule, to allow the couple to enjoy time together on their wedding day. We start with the moment of seeing each other for the first time, and then I give the couple time to themselves, no camera, for 10 minutes. And then we do whatever their hearts desire! Portraits, drinks, hiking, playing pool at their favorite bar, whatever. The sky is the limit. Ingrid and John opted for portraits and then drinks at the hotel bar overlooking the pool and it was such a special portion of the day. As they finished their drinks, all their best friends came running up to them and we took some of the most fun, epic wedding party portraits of my career.
This wedding day was just chock full of gorgeous details. Ingrid’s gown was custom-designed for her by Israeli designer Nurit Hen and her gorgeous hair was styled by Bersalon. The bridesmaids wore sage green gowns from Show Me Your Mumu. The whole reception was just dripping with gorgeous florals from Demco, expertly designed and decorated by Bermuda Event Solutions (who also kept the day running so smoothly!). Even the groom got his moment in a custom-designed suit from 11th State Clothiers in San Francisco.
As I said, there were just TOO many photos to include in one post, so for now enjoy the first half of their epic wedding day! Reception and UNDERWATER portraits to come later this week! Bermuda Wedding Photographer
