Biz and Brandon dreamed of a wedding celebrating their adventure together. Inspired by travel and adventure and decorated with maps and family heirlooms, their adventure-themed wedding was the perfect combination of anticipating their road ahead while remembering where they came from. These two have been together for years and it was such an honor to photograph the two of them finally becoming one. The day started out relaxed and fun with Biz and all her ladies buzzing around in their gorgeous matching robes, sipping coffee and mimosas and just generally enjoying being together. The boys got dressed early and then spend some time working off nerves with a few rousing games of football and basketball, how fun is that?
When it came time for their first look, Brandon waited for Biz in a big field overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, the anticipation mounting as she walked out of the house towards him, until the moment when she called his name and he turned to see her in all her bridal glory for the first time. Their joy at seeing each other, that moment when it all suddenly became so real, was palpable and emotions were running high. From there we did some romantic portraits with just the two of them, and then all their best friends came running and we spent a fun half hour doing wedding party photos before everyone got settled and ready for the ceremony. The whole day moved so smoothly and was so relaxed, no one was stressed or anxious, just excited!
They crammed the small chapel full to bursting with all of their friends and family, there to support them in their new journey. And the hugs and tears post-ceremony were some of the most emotional I’ve ever witnessed. This whole day was just bursting with joy and beauty and I’m so excited to share it with you all! Thanks a million and one to Bailey Batten for second shooting with me!
